Continued: Informational Hearing with KS House Ag Committee

On Wednesday, March 16 2022, The House Ag Committee continued their informational hearing that began Monday, February 7, 2022 with the Kansas Food and Farm Coalition to discuss food security and agricultural opportunities in Kansas. This was the final hearing of the session.

During this session the House Ag Committee they heard testimony from Kansans who are working to provide nutritious local food options to the people of Kansas. Local food system providers testifying included Donna Pearson McClish(pictured to the right) Common Ground Growers, Scott Thellman Juniper Hill Farm, Kelsey Olson Deputy Secretary Department of Agriculture, Miranda Miller-Klugesherz Kansas Food Action Network, Chad Bontrager Yoder Meats.
