Trail Builders from the Sunflower Foundation 

Deadline: Tuesday, November 9 

This grant opportunity will provide funding to improve the health and well-being of Kansans by supporting the development of public trails. Communities of all sizes, locations, and backgrounds are invited to apply, but priority will be given to underserved areas with no existing trails and projects with an explicit intention of increasing diversity among trail users. Contact Elizabeth Burger anytime at eburger@sunflowerfoundation.org for support. 

 

Trail Champion Cohort from the Sunflower Foundation 

Deadline: Tuesday, November 9 

This program is designed for community teams ready to take the next step in enhancing the value of existing trails. Priority will be given to proposals working to diversify their trail base of users, supporters and volunteers. The cohort will take place January-April 2022; selected teams will have access to high-level expertise, technical assistance and coaching around topics such as economic impact analysis and trail user evaluation. Contact Elizabeth Burger anytime at eburger@sunflowerfoundation.org for support. 

 

Innovative Partnerships & Re-Imagined Spaces from the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission 

Deadline: Rolling basis through Friday, October 15 

The Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission will accept a Letter of Intent in the Arts Integration Program for potential Innovative Partnerships and Re-Imagined Spaces projects taking place January 1, 2022 thru December 31, 2022. Letters of Intent (LOI) are designed to give KCAIC the overall concept and general scope of a potential project that may still be in an early stage of development to be sure an applicant is pursing the proper application category.  

 

Pandemic Response and Safety Grants 
Deadline: November 8 
The Pandemic Response and Safety (PRS) Grant Program provides grants to food processors, distributors, farmers markets, and producers to respond to coronavirus, including for measures to protect workers against COVID-19. 

 

Healthy Food Financing Initiatives 

Deadline: December 7 

HFFI is offering direct grants to projects selected through a competitive application process open to food retail and/or non-retail food system enterprises that contribute to improved fresh food retail access in underserved rural and urban communities across the country. Eligible applicants include for-profit, nonprofit, and cooperatively owned businesses and organizations, as well as state and local governments and tribal governments.
